Kalina Mondzholovska is a visual artist, practicing photography, drawing, painting, film and digital media. She is based in United States, originally from Bulgaria. She has a BFA with concentration in conceptual photography from Webster University, St.Louis, MO.
Photography and film tend to express her observations and commentary on the external world, society or the human experience. Stylistically, images range from hardly touched and natural to heavily manipulated concepts. She is strongly influenced by cinematic and moody styles, leaning toward the use of models. Her use of 2D media, such as drawing and painting, are expression of her inner self, emotions, mental states and direct experiences or learned knowledge rather than external impressions.
